Together with NABU, we opened a new biodiversity-promoting area in 2025. The centrepieces of the newly designed area are a 350 square metre flowering meadow for insects, birds and butterflies and 150 wild perennials planted over an area of around 120 square metres. The measure is part of a comprehensive commitment to greater biodiversity, neighbourly coexistence and sustainable neighbourhood development. Our tenants can find out more about the project, the planted species and nature conservation in everyday life at any time via clear information boards.

In the Ackerpause neighbourhood project, we have been bringing together all interested residents in communal raised beds with our cooperation partner Ackerpause and the Jumpers youth facility since 2024. This serves to strengthen engagement in the neighbourhood and imparts practical knowledge about gardening and healthy eating.

In Erfurt-Stotternheim, we worked with the children of Stotternheim primary school, the city of Erfurt and residents from the neighbourhood to plant a mini forest with 1,100 seedlings on 400 square metres in 2025, which will sustainably strengthen the climate, biodiversity and community life in the neighbourhood. The previously monotonous lawn has been transformed into a species-rich habitat for many plants and animals.
